I downloaded Website Baker for the first time about two weeks ago.  I figured the easiest way to learn the module system was to create a simple one.  I'm definitly not a programmer but I used the the hello world module to create a very basic glossary module.   I can't promise there aren't any bugs though.  It installed fine on my 2.6 version WB without any noticable bugs.  Here's the download.  Feel free to make improvements.

Thanks for this Mod, i'll test it in the near future, but it seems to have everything i need. one thing i miss, user submitted Terms would be nice. With admin verification, if possible.

thanks again.

I searched the forums for a glossary module and found this one, it seems easy enough to implement but I get this error whenever I try adding a term:

You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'enseigner ou méthodes d'enseignement propres à une discipline, à une matière' at line 1

After some testing, it seems the module doesn't like apostrophes (accentuated characters seem to work fine).

Also, I found a problem when I wanted to edit or delete entries.  Editing works on some entries (not all), and there is no way to delete entries, even if the small trashcan icon is visible and accessible (I get a "not found" error).

Can a MySQL guru take a look and see can be done to fix this?

Thanks a bunch!!!!

Nice addition, but I encounter the same problems as marccouture...

This is a really cool mod!! It's working great for this tutorial type classroom thingy i'm workin on..

on a side note..

I'm no php guy, but do you think this mod could be converted to a simple business directory somehow? Alot of the funtionality of this mod I think could work great for a directory. But it would be awesome if their was a wysiyyg editor in the text field to allow people even less technical than I to add hyperlinks, google map links and basic formating..

just a thought.

thanks again for a great mod.

Hello jollylama!

To have a really sophisticated Direcory you may be interested in openLD or phpLD.

A Link Directory inside WB - as a module - of course would be great. But it's a lot of work.
