ToS, that's not nice... both of the galleries show nicely if they are on SEPARATE pages, they simply don't if they are on the SAME. So, your answer might be funny but not helpful to me seeking help.

I've exercised, for many years, the...end-user unkindness. I guess it pays of.
On my local WAMP setup, it *tada* works(on all three win browsers).
So...I can't help you.

It would be usefull if you add to your css float:right; because of the thumbnails, they slide under the picture if there are too many. I have done it by myself now, but you could add it in a further version.

I have one problem.

I installed Smooth Gallery and it is working.  The transparency is a little light in IE, but it's okay.

The issue is that the image displayed in the content area of the slideshow is not resized to the specified width and height in the settings.

For example, the original sizes are all 640 x 480.  The gallery is set to display 400 x 300.  Right now it only displays part of the image and the rest is cut off.

I could resize them all to 400 x 300, but then what is the point of having the "larger" image open in a new window if the display size and the original "larger" size are the same.

The thumbnails display correctly though

Hi

If your original images are say 640 pxls on the largest edge, just set Smooth Gallery display area to say 640 x 640 to cope with horizontal and vertical pics. Or give yourself a small border area 644 x 644 or whatever. If your images are all horizontal format then set them to 640 x ? This way your images display as you want them with no cut off.

BarryMac

By the way a thank you to the originator of Smooth Gallery - I think it's excellent!

So that is just a "feature" of the gallery?

In others that I've used, it would resize the image if the original was larger than the gallery display.

I thought it was something that I had configured incorrectly.

@Ramius

No idea - only some questions:

- php-version?
- gd-lib version? (could both be seen via phpinfo();
- are the preview files in the folder, or aren't they generated at all?
- pathproblems within " " (space/blanks) inside the paths/filenames?
- Are the images "big" e.g. 1600 x 1200 px at 300 dpi? Or greater than lets say 300 kb?
- Are you using gif, jpg and/or png?
- At last: the classic question about the user-rights-settings (not sure if it was 755 or 766) ... try a search out here.

don´t forget to set the image resizer in the settings to "yes". this should solve your problem.

Maybe someone could check my page:
http://www.naeh-bar.de/pages/willkommen/pics.php
PHPINFO: http://www.naeh-bar.de/check.php

What I found is the following:
The Source-Code of http://www.naeh-bar.de/pages/willkommen/pics.php misses the line
Code:
useThumbGenerator: true,
and I can't call the resizer.php directly.

Benjamin

Servus Benjamin, <- thats German Wink

I had the same prob with the image resizer... and i found the prob...
there is a little error in the resizer_interface.php.
find the line 51 and replace
Code:
if (function_exists(get_magic_quotes_gpc) && get_magic_quotes_gpc()) {
with this
Code:
if (function_exists(get_magic_quotes_gpc()) && get_magic_quotes_gpc()) {

This little mistake generates a "Notice" in the php output which is shown in the image source code and destroys the image.

Hope that helps Wink

Hi Tim,

funny effect  grin
I have implemented the gallery a couple of times into different CMS, not just Website Baker, and never experienced this bug. On first guess, I'd recommend to check your CSS. There might be a problem.

I had the same issue once.
Try if you get the same effect while using another Template.
If not: there is a problem with a declaration in the CSS file of your Template.

First you should check if this lines in your template:
Code:
<?php
if(function_exists('register_frontend_modfiles')) {

register_frontend_modfiles('css');

register_frontend_modfiles('js');

?>
are before or after the link to your templates CSS.
They should be next befor the closing </head> tag.

If this donot help look into your Templates CSS.

If you cant find it, zip the template and let me know.  wink

Hi,

yes, reduce the ammount of pics in the folder.
I discovered 49 is the max. without this bouncing.

Hi

I have this bouncing problem too. As soon as I put more than 45 pictures in the gallery it starts bouncing. I testet a lot of different templates (incl. allcss) but there is no difference.  sad

Btw: WB2.7 in use.
